Welcome to CAMRA's Pub Data Management systems.
Accurate and comprehensive data about pubs and breweries is key to CAMRA's campaigning activities. This site leads to a number of systems used by members to manage various aspects of this data.
The WhatPub database is a central repository containing a copy of all the campaign's pub data. The bulk of this is detailed and comprehensive information about pubs maintained by CAMRA branches throughout the country. Other data sources include the Brewery Information System and the Real Heritage Pubs database. The WhatPub management system allows branches to upload data and to view statistics.
The National Beer Scoring System is used by CAMRA members to track beer quality in pubs. Members enter scores via the interface embedded in the WhatPub online pub guide. The management system allows members to view and amend their scores. Committee members can also view statistics and download scores for further processing using the Beer Scoring management system.
A range of encyclopaedic data is needed to ensure that CAMRA's pub information can be used effectively. This includes catalogues of postcodes, place names and railway stations in the UK, lists of CAMRA branches and of the county names used in the Good Beer Guide. This Encyclopaedic data management system allows this information to be viewed by members and to be maintained by authorised CAMRA committee members.
